We love West Bay and this hotel was excellent we had a lovely... read more room (7) on the first floor it was a spacious room with a very well equipped bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was the best I have ever had truly delicious and plenty of it. We had an evening meal as well it was again superb. The service was second to none all the staff were very nice and attentive this is a family run business. Paul and Jo were wonderful hosts and work amazingly hard to make the hotel successful but still found time for a chat after service. We will definitely return here in the future it made our anniversary very special

The staff were exceptional, incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which really made the experience special. The hotel itself has a lovely old-fashioned charm, with spacious rooms full of character. Ours had a beautifully modern bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and even a TV ..a perfect touch of luxury.

As it’s an older building, there’s no air conditioning, and we happened to stay during a particularly hot weekend. However, a fan was provided, and with the window open, a nice breeze kept the room comfortable. We also appreciated the in-room iron and ironing board very handy!

While the room didn’t have a fridge, which was a bit of a letdown at first, the staff were kind enough to provide a jug of cold water to keep us going through the night.

Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and although we didn’t try the evening meals, the menu looked great and the restaurant seemed popular with locals .always a good sign! The bar and outdoor seating areas were also lovely places to relax with a drink.

Overall, a charming hotel in a fantastic location with top-notch service. We’d happily return!

Not to our taste but the bed was very soft, difficult to please all guests. If we were in West Bay again, we would stay here.

We booked in for dinner that night, lots of choice, all beautifully cooked and served.
The breakfast was help yourself to fruit juice, cereal etc and then you ordered your hot meal with a waitress.
Again all served beautifully cooked and presented. The two lovely lady waitresses were very helpful and friendly.
It was a short walk to the beach past coffee shops and souvenir shops where all the locals were very friendly.
We can’t recommend The Haddon House Hotel highly enough.

Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and well equipped.
The highlight for us after taking part in a 100km ultra marathon during our stay was the whirlpool bath with tv in our room.
The room itself was very clean, ample storage space and bright and airy.
Now to the jewel in their crown, the food. I cannot underestimate how amazing their food was. From their full English breakfast to their delicious homemade lunch and evening meals they never failed to delight the tastebuds. Highly recommend the steak and kidney pie or the suet pudding. Their desserts are just as delicious.
Another added bonus is their location which is just a few minutes walk to Bridport harbour and also the ample parking directly at the front of the hotel.
In conclusion if you are looking for somewhere to stay in or around the Bridport area you will not find anywhere better than Haddon House.

Our room was spotless and very clean with kettle, condiments, and gorgeous smelling shampoos, bath soaps ect (honey & mango scented) which felt was a luxury! I honestly have no words to describe just how amazing the food was! I cannot recommend Haddon House enough! The breakfast is sensational! Food tasted so fresh and always cooked to perfection. We chose several starters and meals over our stay. The chicken liver parfait is to die for, calamari was out of this world, triple cooked chips are a MUST, ribeye steak cooked just how I like it (medium/rare) and my sister had the duck with plum sauce which she thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't manage to fit in dessert so had that the next day. I chose the warm brownie with ice cream and my sister chose the raspberry creme brulee, again DIVINE!! If anyone hasn't yet been to Haddon House or is thinking of doing so, don't hesitate, you will NOT regret it! In each room they have spacious jet spa baths which we loved so much and spent a good hour soaking in the bath watching the TV that they have in the bathrooms. I have NOTHING negative to say at all!! Thankyou so much to all the staff at Haddon House, especially Jo who served us over our stay. Jo and the staff were always so hospitable. This won't be our last visit!   Lovely hotel  - This is a very good 3* hotel ,excellent food,freshly cooked,excellent service , lovely and clean ,excellent large soft towels and room serviced ,which we didn't expect ,only staying for a... read more couple of nights.
One concern was that the bathroom radiator didn't work ,it was freezing in there. We did let staff know on our first evening,however this was not rectified,the next morning we spoke again and still not rectified. After lunch we went to reception and asked to see the manager, the matter was then dealt with immediately,thank you !
Considering this we still believe it warrants 5/5 stars and we recommend this hotel for a short break .

The food was of a very high standard well prepared and delivered hot. The Gala dinner was well planned and the function rooms dressed for the occasion .A special mention to Gavin the chef who spoke to one of our group before we arrived to accommodate her dairy issues, all went according to plan Maria was very happy.. The following day we went into Lyme Regis and came back for a very nice cream tea. Later that day another lovely 3 course dinner.

  Our one night stay - Stayed here for one night on the 2nd December to visit Bridport the next day. All decorated for christmas and even had crackers on our table for dinner. The staff are friendly, efficient and accommodating to the request we made. The breakfast is plentiful with a good choice, We dined each evening at the hotel and again the food and service were good.

All in all a great pre-christmasy break.

The hotel has plenty of parking and it is only a few minutes walk from the sea front but is also a good base for exploring the local area. A great place to stay and we will go back there when we are next in the area.

There is a limited choice for Vegetarians and that could be improved. You get value for money a reason why we return on a regular basis. I have been in alot of gents toilets in my time. Too many of them needed the wearing of strong shoes. This one is well maintained and very clean. So much so saddles can be worn without difficulty
